Hi everyone! So I have an exciting announcement to make. I found out last week that I‘m doing a talk for the Mobile UX conference from 22nd-26th March 2021. Woohoo!

My talk is called “Applying UX principles to the Covid-impacted airline industry’s customer journey”. This talk will be based on utilising the principles I have learnt so far from UX into understanding the improvements being made to the airline’s experience and requirements needed within a post-pandemic world.

I’m really excited and thankful to the Mobile UX team for letting me do a talk as it feels like an expression of what I have learnt so far within the UX field, with additional learnings within my current field of work within the airline industry.

I also feel like this is the next step within my presentation skills that have been building over the past year. I should also give a massive thank you to the London Java Community for giving me the confidence and encouragement to pursue this dream.

However, I do feel quite nervous as I’m coming at this as someone who is pretty new to this field compared with a lot of speakers having many years of experience. But, what I would like to do is to put a positive spin on this and bring the perspective of someone new to this field who is looking to help others who want to transition into this field.

So far, I’m in the process of planning the script and presentation deck of how I want to deliver the talk, as well as getting to grips with recording the talk. Keep your eyes peeled for my next blog on the next steps of how my planning and talk went!
